Kate Higgins is the Deputy Executive Director at Oxfam Canada. Prior to this position, she was the Director of Policy and Campaigns at Oxfam Canada.  Previously, Kate has worked at CIVICUS, the North-South Institute, the Overseas Development Institute and AusAID in a number of strategy, policy and research roles focused on global sustainable development, inequality, women’s rights and citizen action. Kate’s work is driven by her deep commitment to women’s rights and social justice and her belief that people and their organizations can drive long-lasting, progressive change. Kate has degrees in economics and development studies from the University of Oxford and the University of Sydney.
