Melissa Bui is a designer from Edmonton, Alberta with a focus around social, service, and visual communications design. She is currently an EWB Long-Term Fellow based in Accra, Ghana as a Design Lab Coordinator with Ashesi University. During her undergrad in Industrial Design at the University of Alberta, Melissa has focused on integrating design towards social issues such as early childhood development, social inclusion for people experiencing homelessness, and infill strategies to combat urban sprawl. Melissa utilizes processes such as human-centered design and design research to address these issues around inclusivity, sustainability and social innovation for human well-being and livelihood.
