Amara believes young people should be centered in the decisions that affect their lives. All of her work has been about bringing people together to take meaningful and strategic collective action. She has worked in universities and non-profits, run for office, built organizations, and managed advocacy campaigns including Vote Together, Leadnow’s groundbreaking 2015 election campaign. She runs an organizational development and campaigning consultancy, is on the board of the Centre of Story-based Strategy, and teaches digital campaigning as a part-time professor in Seneca College's Government Relations graduate program.
