Climate change, conflict, politics, technology – the world is changing fast and becoming increasingly difficult to predict. So how do we set up our chapters, universities, institutions and societies to be compatible with, and adaptive to, our uncertain future? This session will draw from lessons learned in a strategic planning process for a shared river between Malawi and Mozambique, where innovative scenario planning methods are helping multiple countries agree on joint solutions for their uncertain climate futures. Participants will have the opportunity to experiment with core principles of these methods to start thinking about the resilience of their own efforts to address challenges within their own communities, chapters, or organisations.
